This is what's coming out of Poland lately:

So, what are the discrepancies with this... bright, un-gilt brass..
Should almost buy one just to keep in touch with possible fakes later on...

The detail and finish aren't good (look at the bubbles in "Peninsula"), and when seen from the back, they are really quite bad...
 
A little bit of air in the molding material can really mess up the surface of the electroform. On the bright side, it helps prevent mistaking a "galvano" copy for an original item.

Some die-struck plates are coming from Czechoslovakia lately, but they just aren't as crisp as original items--at least not the pre-WWI parts.
