Jager Dachs backpack

I understand that Jagers had a backpack known as a "Dachs" made from
a badger hide complete with the poor little fellows face staring out of the back of it :lol:
I have never seen a period photo showing one of these or even better does anyone have an example they could post pics of.
I understand it was the M95/97
Looking forward to seeing your fury friend!!!

Here is an example in a local collection. Basically, it is the same as a normal pack except for the cover. Of course, they only come in red/brown canvas. I have another friend that has one and the eye holes have red leather inserts.

Thats superb! thanks for posting the pic, I have several of the infantry ones but have never seen one of these fellows. The one with red eyes sounds great
