The original pole is still used to hold the flagWhat a piece of history!
I would have never dreamed or believed that it was possibleI am in awe of this sanctuary!
To be able to own such a living exhibit in one`s own collection is indescribable….
Best regards

Could you please add a little more information ?
A point of interestJan 1 but I don't know the year
Kaiser Wilhelm II reviews the flags of the 2 G R zu Fuss
and others
Here is the exact flag that was there

2 G R z Fuss would be the only flag with the vertical strips in the bodySteve,
if we assume that the colour of F./2. GRzF is that on the extreme right as that of the senior regiment on parade, the two to the immediate left of that must be those of F./5. GRzF and F./GGR 5. The black plumes of the Colour bearers are indicative of the 3rd or Füsilier battalions.

GlennSteve,
the article in the Deutscher Reichsanzeiger und Königlich Preußischer Staatsanzeiger is not explicit but I think we can safely assume the majority would have been of the newly formed third battalions (AKO of 4 May 1913) of the following regiments:
5. Garde-Regiment zu Fuß
Garde-Grenadier-Regiment Nr.5
IR 152
IR 153
IR 154
IR 156
IR 157
IR 158
IR 159
IR 162
IR 164
IR 167
IR 168
IR 169
IR 170
I had thought that the remainder might be those 3rd battalions formed in 1912 but a check of the Deutscher Reichsanzeiger und Königlich Preußischer Staatsanzeiger of 1913 and the regimental history of IR 161 scotched that theory. IR 161's colour was dedicated on 1 January 1913.
Some more searching yet.
