kokarden

Dear all,

This set of kokarden has been part of my collection for several years and in fact I totally forgot about them. I had to clear out my ww 1 collection recently because of our imminent moving and that's how I found them again. I am not entirely sure about their authenticity in part because of the unusual diameter of the center hole, which is too small for M1891 side posts. I am interested in your expert opinion on this set of kokarden.

Best regards,

Edwin

After a close inspection on Tony's website, I noticed that several earlier model pickelhaubes contain similar-sized kokarden with a small central hole for attatchment to the side by means of a threaded bolt. It therefore seems likely to me that these kokarden are from a pre-1895 helmet.

Regards,

Edwin
