Very nice,

realistically, the only person who could have worn those epaulettes was Prinz Rupprecht von Bayern when he was still a Generalmajor between 1900 and 1903. He was first appointed à la suite to LKR 1 on 5 June 1896 as a Major.

Well I am floored – I always thought the most interesting part of these helmets were the chin scales. Competition for appointment to this Regiment was how shall we say – competitive! :thumb up:

This strongly reminds me of lot 170 which was on sale in Paris last November.

Unfortunately I couldn't make it to Paris, but a couple of friends were there.

Did you check the back of the helmet's chinscales?

no unfortunately i had no time to check behin the chinscale , will do only next summer

i could remind you , it was , shipment by de maigret was a nightmare , at least one friend go for Paris to pick up the item

Very impressive, Eric!! I thought Didier Laine's KR1 helmet was THE reference, but it clearly has a serious challenger here...
