Kürassier's cape and breastplate

This was my first major purchase.The item was made by the manufactory of the last king of France.I made the straps from leather so that the whole thing could be put on a mannequin.

Very nice. Marks are from two different French Royal factories: Chatellerault and Klingenthal. Are these on the two different plates?

I don't know if this has been translated correctly.These plates fit together,even though they are from different manufactures.They fit well on a person.Each element is made from a single piece of sheet metal..Regards.

Cool set. love Cuirassiers. I also have a mismatched pair from the 1840s. No leather straps left on mine either, great idea of making your own.
