Is this a M1889 model with post-1894 chinscales (based on the M91 fittings)?

Don't have my references here, so I don't know for sure. I was looking at that one, but it's shell is awfully pitted. :-k :-k

It is still a nice piece alltogether for those into pre-war helms and its price will $ky rocket soon...
 
Yes you're right, nice item but the cockades seem to be copies or repainted, that's a substantial issue, since originals are quite hard to find and very expensive :?
