My favorite Jaeger battalion as they were the only Jaeger battalion awarded a cypher. The battalion, raised in 1813, was awarded the cypher of Queen Margherita of Italy, 27 October 1897. She was removed a Chef of the battalion at the beginning of the war and the cypher was discontinued in May 1917. The one thing I search for is a photo of the queen in a Jaeger uniform.

The Kaiserpreis dated 1897 was awarded to 3. Kompanie.
