Hmmmmm on the plate nice catch Cy. Another LG helmet. Am I paranoid or is there something wrong with the rosettes/chinscales?

Seems like the rossets are attached through screws.
I have seen this on older helmets (1860s).
But it also seems like the front plate is really good shape as far as aging in comparison to the spike and scales!!!

Beautiful example of a mounted L.G. helm. Chin scales are mounted correctly, with steel screw post attachments. Kokards look a bit oversized?
