Leibgendarmerie 1970's copy helmet

Here's an older copy Leibgendarmerie helmet. The spike is wrong for it, it should have the tulip bulb spike on it.

I acquired this helmet recently from an old collection. I sent it to Randy T. for a look-over, and he said it was an old copy made back in the 1970's.

The helmet shell is well made, heavy metal, and the leather lining under the front and back visors is nicely done. The liner is fairly convincing, and it has a fairly convincing "C.E. Junker" maker mark inside the top of the helmet, but upon close inspection, the maker mark is double-stamped.

In the 70's you probably could have bought a real one for what it cost to make this copy.
Other than the Wappen it looks pretty good.
Very convincing the way they faked the "CE JUNCKER".
