liner rivet question

Easy question here. Are all the round end liner rivets fake? OR Are there anything but square ends accepted as real? Thanks, John

The simple answer is yes, round ended liner pins were not used in WW1 German helmets. (I can't say if this is true for WW1 Austro-Hungarian models).

These are the round-ended repros I'm referring to:

Original pins have clipped ends and corners, whether they're cut straight across or not. These pins are faked too however. The round ended ones are just easier to spot as fakes.

I just looked at some of my steel helmets and it appears to me that the front pins are square, while the reaar one is rounded.

I would say they are not all fake.
It is hard to say, perhaps comparing the size (In mm/In)
I saw also original round ended liner pins on hemets which were not faked. :D
