LMG - what type?

Just a short question here, what gun is this? I have not seen this type with bipod yet.

Fantastic photo! I'm inclined to think these are Let Maskingevær c.1904 Madsens.

Hi Skeleton,

thank for the fast reply! Madsen seems to be right, I did a quick web search and found some references. This article describes its use in Musketen batallions beginning in in August, 1915. Perhaps the picture shows such a unit, unfortunately there is no writing.
 
Very cool also to have that JR 80 uberzug being worn in the picture! Both this and the use of a different MG makes this a superlative foto. Brian
 
I like the riflemen to the left looks like a Carbine as well.The madsen being a standard LMG for German troops .

Yes the two others carry Karabiner 98a. The guy on the left should remember to close his breech.
