Looking for a Jaeger Zu Pferd

Looking for a Jaeger Zu Pferd. Anyone have one they might part with?

I have looked around the net but would prefer to buy from a fellow member,

Peter

Thanks Tony.

So is this helmet a garbage copy or just one of those ones you describe. Liner looks puffy and badge seems like it is not sharp.

I think this is a cuirassier?

Peter

Peter, don't burn your fingers on that one !!....Patient,...there are beautifull examples out there ...I've waited 3 years for mine and I'm grateful that I didn't buy junk because I wanted a helmet quickly if needed...

Yes I agree. Will need to be patient in the "hunt" for a "jaeger."

Yes, a wise man once told me to be patient and always buy quality. He always followed this mantra. It's been years but if memory serves, I believe his name was Schnurr ! :)

Any comments on the helmet in the pictures I posted? Curious if it is just a rough original or a "rouch piece of crap copy."

Peter

Update - I have found one from another forum member.

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions.

Cheers.

Peter

The helmet is en route thanks to Dennis (AKA JzPf). It was Dennis’s first Jaeger zu Pferd (what he called his starter) and I am honoured that he has passed it on to me. Not “mint in box” like Tony’s but I love the character. Here are some pictures. I’ll post a couple more when I receive it.

Cheers.

Peter

That is a very nice piece Pete! I really like the liner being in such great condition. So many of these M15’s have rotten/torn liners.
