M1867 plate

Hello all,
are these pins for a M67 heraldic eagle? I only know of the long ones that curve down and fit into the eyelets on the helmet. But these look like split pins in the helmet.

Sandy that eagle was made after 1891. You can tell as areas between knees and wing tips are out. Those prongs have nothing to do with M 1867 helmets.I have seen prongs on Wappen, usually wartime officers.

Yes, a wise man once told me years ago.....prongs on officer wappen instead of screw posts......wartime production!
