M1897 PRUSSIAN FOOT ARTILLERY RESERVE OFFICER SPIKE HELMET
Helmet body is solid. Brass fittings to the front visor trim, rear spine, spike base secured with 4 original star retainers, flat chinscales with original leather backing secured by brass rosettes, brass removable kugel and the brass Prussian Heraldic Officer style eagle with a reserve cross at the eagle’s leg. Eagle crown has been pierced and wappen is secured to the helmet body via thread and screw system. No extra holes behind the wappen.
Stitching to both visors is good. Both visors have the red and green leather backing which is proper for officer. Rear visor has some wrapping in which can be straightened. Interior features a beautiful brown leather sweatband in good condition with an original silk canvas. Silk canvas shows repair. Officer style Reich and State cockades. Flat chinscales for the foot artillery troop secured by brass rosettes.
