Maker mark on M91 flat scales

I have handled a lot of scales over the years, but this is the first set I recall ever seeing markings on? I just picked these up to repair to use them later.

Both are marked on the back side J.B.Detti

Anybody know this maker or also have Marked scales?

These may not even be German??

They look German to me... can't say I've ever looked that closely for marks. One more thing for the 'to do' list when I dust the collection.

Perhaps the "Detti" is Dettingen? J B in Dettingen?
