Is there a particular manufacturer associated with the atypically-shaped spike on this felt helmet?

I would say the particular manufacturer's name here is known as "India".

All sorts of problems with this helmet...starting at the tip of the spike and they just keep going....
 
I don't like the look of the thing either. Too many things just don't make sense, look new or are out of shape. Funny thing is, I like the liner's look, but that can be faked as well.
