This one has the unusual shape to the visor and the reinforcing disc is mounted on the outside, under a ball top.
The felted upper lining piece doesn't seem to bear the circular imprint of the disc, either. But why use a disc with a metal shell?
Doesn't conventional wisdom insist that no metal artillery helmets existed, anyway?
The cockades have been reversed, too, so maybe other metal bits have been swapped around. :-k
