Very interesting article . I know Canadian Infantry units wore the GLEN as regular headress in the Victorian period and that included the silk tassle .In my future posting's of that collection i am photogrphing i will show you the example of the one they have it has a set of white numerals "34" and a black terri.
I am proably wrong but i thought the Argyl and Sutherland highlander's wore a red and white diced Glen with red terri, at one time anyway . I was told this was an honor from the Ceimean War as the thin red line. Most other unit's have the red, white and black dicing.Again i could be very wrong on this .I know only a little Highland stuff .
