Miniature WWI Battlefield

In my "helmet and militaria bunker" I had an extra corner that I wasn't doing anything with so I decided to try my hands at a scale diorama. Since I'm not good with models or painting I figured smaller was better. I opted to create a generic Palestine Front (could be Mesopotamia as well). I found some nice Turkish HO scale (1:72) figures, and some Australian Light Horse and Indian Army. Unfortunately no one seems to make British infantry from anything but the Western Front and that doesn't seem right.

I bought some 8th Army figures (WWII obviously) and the plain troops with just the SMLE Enfield might work (obviously no Brens or Stens allowed).

I've tried to match the uniforms as best I can, and the battlefield itself came out reasonably well. I opted for four-by-four, but six-by-four would have been better. So the distance isn't really great enough for artillery but it looks good enough.

Here is the WWI bunker - I put up some (obviously repro) flags. But the maps are from West Point from the 1950s and are of the Middle East campaigns.
