Hello fellow collectors. My latest find is a 1886/87 2nd division Infantry Officers Pickelhaube. Actually it is my only find as I purchased it in 1982 with the soldiers bayonet and medal bar at a garage sale. I have never been able to find the correct parts that are missing from it. I need a Bavarian and National Officers Cockade (I think a 55mm is correct), a liner, three silver star studs for the spike base and a cockade rosette (german silver) for the chinstrap. Thank you Minnesota Slim for a fast response. Yep, I'll say hard to come by. I have found nothing in 26 years except for a few repro parts but I don't think it would be a good idea to put any fantasy stuff on this helmet. If you can find anything that is correct I would be interested.
