Here is one of the favorite helmets I had, I was forced to trade it to my best friend (civi) in 2008 as he had something I could not live without.... Hopefully I can get it back some day (Roy!)

It is a Model 1917 Stahlhelm for a MG unit. This helmet was a souvenir from a member of the 85th Battalion CEF, note the mud still in the vent post. The helmet also retains the original leather chinstrap with the owners name and unit "H.Lang 1MGK" (1 Machine Gun Company) painted onto the rear apron.

I've often ogled this one on the Bunker Tony. Fantastic camo with a very interesting chinstrap.
