Hello Meme,
I'm no expert on caps, but it looks ok to me. Because of the black stripe with the red piping around the top and bottom edges and around the edge of the lid, I would guess a pioneer or artillery regiment.

I am looking for a Pionier Schirmmütze to display along with a nice group of awards and documents of a Pionier Offizier awarded the knight cross of the House Order of Hohenzollern.
If anyone on the forum can also provide feedbacks on that cap, that would be great !
