I was reading over Col.J's article on helmet markings the other night and noticed he did not have anything for the FAR 70. This happened to be the first helmet I ever purchased ($15). So I thought I would share some photos of it. It did not come out it the photos, but on the far right of the rear visor it is dated 1913. Comments welcomed. Sorry for the quality of the photos it is not the fault of the camera.

Thank you, but looking at the photos I think if I had moved 90 degrees, there would not have been the shadows.

Excellent helmet with great markings.....no wonder they stopped doing this mid war, so much information there. Regarding your pics, the problem is sunlight....you shot on a sunny day. The best days for photo shoots at least for us amateurs is a cloudy day where the sun is blocked so NO shadows or glare, just great natural light and great pics. You can also so shoot in a shaded area with a digital camera.
