I also posted this in another section - I hope that's OK. This is a picture of my Grandfather's hat. I also have a picture of him in uniform. I would appreciate any / all information you might have on it.

On the picture he can be seen in the uniform of an Austro-Hungarian infantry regiment, with 1908 Jubilee Cross on his breast.
The hat isn't military. It seems firefighter or miner but I can't see the symbol on the cokade.
