You guys do not have a separate post , in order to post collections. Or at least I could not find one.

Here is my collection I really do not have any rare ones but I have a fair amount of generics .

This is what I have to show for over 20 years of collecting on a shoe string budget.

Someone is being modest, some very nice and hard to find helmets in your collection, well done!!

James

You have a very nice collection,I am impressed you amassed it in just over 20 years. Thanks for showing it! :bravo:

:bravo: You 'v done very well ,nice collection.

thanks for sharing =D>

Hey ,I noticed we have the same figurine :D ,I must have made this 35 years ago.
I believe it was a Tamiya kit ,and there was a choice between a helmet or the bonnet.

:o

Very impressive collection!
I specialy love the diving helmet.
Had one in a previous collection, defenetly need one again.

Thanks guys it means a lot .

I have collected many military items and have traded almost all of them to get spikes . Some of the items like my Nazi daggers I kind of wished I would have kept .

The one item I really wished I would have kept was my 90% original paint size 2 trench armor. When I got it I was on cloud nine. My wife was not. She told me "I do not know what you intend to do with that thing but you will not display that in my house ". Well I tumbled from cloud nine into trench mud . I paid $650 for it . I sold it to AGM for $1500 took that money and got a nice Bavarian and Baden spike . A year or so later that armor was on the front page of AGM's catalog and they sold it for $3500 I think.

I am not sure how much they sell for now but I wish I still had it.

Still there was a lot of lay-aways to get these and a lot of sneaking in the back door so as not to hear " another one , how did you pay for it ? "

I am sure a lot of you other guys have heard this

:-" :-" :-"

Yes, those 'generic' helmets... soooo many around. Seriously, a very nice collection and nicely displayed. Thanks for posting the photos.

and a Prussian Grenadier felt helmet

Thanks Steve ,

The MG shako is a bit of a dog . It may be pre Nazi because the rear visor is fiber that has not aged well at all. So because of that it may not be original to WW1 . But I do have an original wartime gray Prussian spike that has the same fiber rear bill and it is original. Urban police ? Wartime MG ? But it looks nice on the shelf.

I got lucky with the felt Grenadier . It displays well but has no liner. It kind of looks like it never did . No stiching holes or glue marks . All original including the strap that I need to repair. I grabbed it by the strap to move it and it split in my hands . F-R-A-G-I-L-E . Fra gil le . I think it is Italian :D :D :D

I have never been to the Show of Shows . Maybe some day . If you get to NOLA look me up !!!

Thanks
I will take you up on it
if I get back there again

If you have never been to the S O S
you should consider it
I M O the best U S A show by far
Brian and the PH.com fellows set up
and it is great to see and talk with them
and hang out

Have you ever been over to the little Military show
just North of Biloxi, Miss. before you get to I -10 ?

also a show at Franklin , Tenn.
Steve

Very impressive collection. Have the Uberzug regimental marking ?

There are no stamps on any of them.

Here is a close up of my grey metal works in progress . According to Randy T. He has the only known Brunswick grey pictured in his book. That helmet is sool cool I need one for myself so here is mine under construction with genuine REPRO plate !!
The grey metal Prussian has a original Wurt field badge but it came with the helmet so I kept it with it. Someday I will get a Wurt shako and I will have the field badge waiting.

Here is my one year volunteer Brunswick Reservist . All original except chinscales. It probably should have a leather strap but I wanted to dress it up . Should it have a leather strap ?

Looks a little dusty up there .
