One of the first Max shows years ago was in St. Louis , Mo.
We could not get a room close to show
but found a motel out away from the city
As I went to check in I saw in the hallway of the motel
cases of Austrian helmets on display
I wish that I had taken photos
and I often wonder what became of the helmets ?
Steve

Thanks for the kind words, as a nice extra, the madder red cap features in The Emperors Coat publication by Stefan Rest.

As you might already know Stefan Rest is a collector of Austrian Military .
I always stop to talk with him at his table at the SOS
and buy new edition books from him
Steve

roger that Steve, I have spoken to him via e mail whilst buying his books but never had the pleasure of meeting him. Maybe I need to get my seldf over to the SOS........
