Hi Guys,
I placed this post in the old forum, as I didn't obtain answer, I make that again. I had this plate Beamte like you well remember. I got here in Rio a helmet that didn't have plate, kokarden and chinstrap. Without needing to do new holes, the plate fit perfectly. I had a pair of kokarden and my friend French made the chinstrap. The question is: Is this helmet possible?

The rear spine of your helmet appears to be without a ventilation shutter. Is it an issued spine or private purchase style?

Wouldn't all grades of Zahlmeister (paymaster), even Applikant, have worn silver furniture?

Otto,

When I see an issued M1891 helmet, with a pierced crown officer eagle of any sort, my first impression is that the eagle just does not belong there. I would vote to remove the Beamte eagle and put a correct Mannschaften issue example on, and have a very nice issued helmet example.

Chas, yes, the rear spine is without a ventilation shutter. But I don't know the answer of your question.
