NCO school?

I was looking at this one (not to buy, just curious), an M15 officer type. Would this be from an NCO school? I've seen EM types with the line eagle and guard star listed as such in books.

That seems to be the correct ID from what I have read but I have never seen an officer version only OR's. The rear visor has been crudely stitched back on as can be seen in the pictures.

My thought was that even an NCO school would have officers to make the NCO's miserable ( ), but I do agree about the back visor. DIdn't notice that before.

Funny... :D
Yesterday I found this post and tried to find more informationes about the Type Guard-Star for Staff Offficers on NCO-School, and today the Helmet is for sale again. Same seller.

This is the question I asked here a little while ago: wouldn't officer helmets in NCO schools have the enamelled Suum Cuique center? The answer from the forum was no, even officers wore the enlisted type center...

I knew it; I knew it:

I learned it from a book!!! (When I translated both Volumes in 2011)...To be precise: The J-L Larcade Volume I: Chapter I: At the end of Chapter I-Page 34

After J-L Larcade: "The Uffz instructors of the Staff of the Uffz Schulen wore a special helmwappen. This was worn by them ONLY. As the students wore the simple Linien Adler; and the Officers of the SchoolStaff kept the helmet and Wappen of their unit of origin. This special Helmwappen for Uffz instructors was composed of a "yellow" Linien Adler with a silver-plated Garde Stern"

I was also irritated but I learned that the Silver Order of Black Eagle was worn by both, NCO's and Officers of NCO-Schools. But the Helmet of the Officers were "Eigentumshelme", buyed by the owner. And some of the Officers had a bigger Ego like others. That's the explanation why an enameled Star could be original.
But I asked the seller this morning if he knows something about the History of the Helmet, because of the type of the Star.
Unfortunately I got no response and the Time of the auction was reduced from one week to some hours. For me a sign that something could be wrong...
