New fakes to be aware of

I have a few reasons why I don't trust it:

First point is that the seller constantly sells faked stuff, especially flags and insignia.

Another is that the inner edge seems to be rolled from how I see it instead of flanged. Perhaps a side profile would help. I have a cockade that is extremely similar that is a fake and made of poor quality metal. I'll post a picture of it later for comparison.

I'm happy to be proven wrong, but at the moment, I don't trust it. I certainly don't trust the seller either, but that's separate from the item, of course.

Thoughts welcome.

My goal is bring attention to things on eBay that other members should know about. Unfortunately, this has been a common trend with this person, whomever it is. Their second account has the same stuff. Faked flags and more fake parts as called out on other forums. I wish this wasn't the case, but it seems to be how they operate as a seller, even if they do have a collection of their own.

There is another seller out of the UK selling extremely similar cockades, listed as original, and they just all happen to be from desirable states!

Lastly, Here is the same seller under a different account selling a fake Brunswick cockade as an original. The exact stock of repro can be bought at this UK based site here, which on a side note, I do believe makes decent repros. The difference is that they are not artificially aging them and selling them as originals.

That is the other seller that I had seen. Steer clear of that guy!

It's one thing to sell reproductions to collectors looking for place holders or for reenactors but to purposely try to deceive people especially young and new collectors is totally unacceptable and needs to be brought to everyone's attention.

Hats off to anyone willing to step on a few toes to expose such behavior. (y)(y)

So this guy keeps posting fakes for sale. I really hate that he is starting to fake pickelhaube stuff, too. The fact that it's a potential member here doesn't change the morals of this person.

This is always a frustration, I know. But after seeing some good sales on cockades from real honest sellers, all this guy sees is dollar signs. Not even a concern about how much money he steals from us. He would happily take from any of you if you bought this stuff.
