Finally got my hands on a Lachmann that arrived this week.

Seems to be in pretty good condition but (like a lot of them) has the wrong wappen and had a JzP spike. Luckily I've been keeping a Kurassier spike for just such an occasion and the patina matches pretty well. So think I'll swap but keep the JzP as it's obviously been with the helmet for a while.

Small cockades also seem to be a given with this manufacturer.

The spike looks as if it's always been there so good proactive work you did by buying it ahead! =D>

Thanks Ron, couple more pics. The liner is pretty decent, only one hole has torn, but it's pretty dry (and of course no draw-string)

I’m with Ron on the wappen ,if the lugs fit the holes ,chances are that this is the original wappen.
 
Looks great! Thanks for sharing the photos. Interesting design on these. The cape on a normal K. helmet gets in the way when looking up or in need of firing from a prone (dismounted) position. These must've been a real challenge to wear.
