Unlike a lot of eBay stuff, this looks like it could be the real deal : New Old Stock Visor trim, reputedly from an old Sewing shop?
Not a recommendation but perhaps worth a look if you need a visor repair.

Thats it, I tried copying the address link but it didn't work. Not great photos but they look promising for a rather extreme repair.
