Yes, ](*,)

:thumbsdown: ](*,) ](*,) They Originally had it listed for 3-days at a "mere" $1,500.00 with a Whopping Buy-It-Now Price of $4,900.00 http://www.ebay.com/itm/331534569853?_trksid=p2060353.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
It's like the "dumb & dumber show" with them listing it first with a lower starting price, and then re-listing it with a higher starting bid price. I guess they can't make up their minds.

:x
I tried to politely communicate with them and tell them what the buckle was worth. I offered to give them auction numbers as reference to buckles I've bought in the past 6-months so that they could pull up to reference and see what I paid, even some with belts. They never wrote back, figure that... Not sure why they think it is a Prussian buckle, as the buckle is Saxon.
The buckle is a pre-1895 model, married to a WW1 dated belt. Not that it could not have happened, but not real typical or the way I would prefer to see them. If it was a model 1895 buckle, it would be more believable for them to be together, but it's not...
I wanted the buckle (Only) because it has the Seyffarth maker stamp on the backside, which is harder to find, and it is a pre-1895 Saxon buckle. The buckle is maybe a $225-$250 buckle to me at best.
The belt doesn't mean anything to me, it's simply a $50-$60 doggy condition ho-hum boring leather belt that I wouldn't care to have in my collection.
Out of 130 buckles in my collection, I have 5-leather belts. Plus 2-more belts that are not keepers for me that I will sell that came with buckles recently. In other words, it's hard for me to find a leather belt that excites me to want to have it...
$1,900.00 is light years away from a possible $250-$300 realistic sale point for them on this buckle & belt. Not sure if they will ever figure it out or not. Probably not...

Alan
