Offizier - Fahnrich -- Einjahrige Freiwilligen - Question

I am very thankful to Jim Turinetti and his excellent books. I do have a question on the helmet pictured which I could not find the answer to in the references.

The helmet is described as for a Fahnrich or Einjahrig Freiwilligen (One Year Volunteer). In looking over Jim's descriptions of the Bavarian Line Infantry helmets, he states the officers had fluted spikes and a cross spike base. The EM's had smooth spikes and a round spike base. In the illustrations, he shows flat brass chinscales for officers and the leather chinstrap for EM's. Visors are square for officers and rounded for EM's.

Since this helmet has a round spike base, smooth spike, and brass chin scales -- I assume this is what makes it as described (Fahnrich or OYV).

Can you all confirm this?

Mike

To me, a OYV helmet.
A Fähnrich helmet would show officer cockades.
