Hello,

here's a rare officer's helmet from the Cuirassiers no. 6 in 1843 .

The emblem consists of real silver. This piece I have not but one can imagine still him yes . I sold the piece some time ago .

The front screen was even repainted . That bothered me .

That's a real beauty! If I'm looking at it correctly, the visor's (front shade's) upper edge on that one is outside of the helmet's dome, rather than inside as on later models? Interesting too how the 'stiffening ridge' at the rear continues to the front.

It's the same green you find on repro helmets of that type (probably left over from the Indian army's tank units :wink: ) I could overlook it, remove it or restore it if a helmet like that were available to me.

Nice helmet. Maybe you could have removed that ugly green paint with aceton
