Old helmet to firemen's helmet

It was a nice ART helmet. In France, the majority of old Cuirassiers and Dragoons helmets (model 1830, 1840, 1845,...) were officially re issued by the firemen and then modified. Currently, they are modified in the other way, cleaned, re equipped with new pices and sold as Cuirassiers,....
Another point is that old German Feuerwehr leather helmets are transformed to become "genuine pickelhauben". If you are a beginer, have a look at each extra hole, it is not difficult.
