Doesn't it look like the flat-style Oldenburg Wappen came from an enlisted man's Oldenburg infantry helmet?
Also, weren't Oldenburg dragoon helmets plates silver, except for the contrasting gold star?

Hmmm...it also has a black-silver-black Prussian cockade.

You might find a flat-style Oldenburg Wappen on an older officer helmet model (thickness increased with time) but you are correct: Oldenburg Dragoner wore a golden center on a silver eagle.

Yes indeed and it is still sitting on the shelf in my collection room. It is 100% correct as of course is Bruno's! The pics posted by this seller who has so many sales behind him are atrocious (BAD).....dark and fuzzy. Look at all the militaria he has for sale, he knows what he has/has not. I am suspicious of this.
