One more time, some help needed with Ehrenranglisten

Gentlemen,
I need one more time your precious help, to find out a special guy.
I just bought a beautiful untouched Landwehroffizier-Dragoner-Haube direct from a family estate in the Rheinland (family Trimborn-Von Hobe, Burg Unkel).Three more Offiziers-Haubes were found in the attic, where they layed there, completely forgotten the last 100 years.
All those helmets are showing the name Von Hobe in the shell. (a lot of officers in this old aristocratic family).
I will post some picts there as I will get the helmet next week.
However similar to this one, but from the older pattern:

Now my question:
Because the helmet is one of the older 1880 pattern (first interior pattern without silk, short spike, both smaller officer prussian cockade with single ring on the left and bigger officer reichs cockade with double ring on the right), I am thinking, that this helmet could have been precisely worn 1897-1898. I am thinking that the wearer could have been born 1875-1880. The dragoner eagle has on its chest the landwehr cross. The guy was probably a OYV and moved then after his duty year in the Reserve/Landwehr. But now, which von Hobe was the owner of this helmet??? I only own the Ehrenranglisten 1902-1918. There are a few von Hobes there, two activ officers (one Oberleutnant in the Husaren-Regiment Fürst Blücher von Wahlstatt and one Leutnant in the 4. Garde-Artillerie-Regiment) and two reserve officers, maybe brothers (Bertram and Siegfried, both in the FAR22).I think the wearer of my helmet can only be tracked before 1900, in the Reserve-Landwehr-Offiziere chaptel.

how about Rittmeister der Landwehr-Kavallerie Bertram Baron von Hobe von Gelting Of Landwehr-Bezirk Flensburg. He retired in 1901/02.

You are simply fantastic!!!
Do you maybe know the Dragoner unit in which he served?
It must have been one of the following units:
DR2, 7, 8, 11, 13, 14 or DR9 till 24.01.1899.
Maybe birth and death date? Maybe a pict?
It´s a great chance for me, because the family von Hobe still has its "Landsitz" in Geltinger Schloß (Kreis Schleswig-Flensburg), about 50 km from my home and 20 km from my work!!!

The family von Hobe is an old Mecklenburg aristocratic family which settled up 1780 in Gelting. Another part of this family settled up in the Rheinland and "mixed up" with family Trimborn, in which Schloss attic this helmet together with three other von Hobe helmets have been found recently. Even some family members from Gelting have "mixed up" with the Trimborn family.
Further, I have the information that the officer helmet which has belonged to Cord (Konrad) von Hobe (4. GFAR, Potsdam) will be soon sold on ebay Germany, together with the other two which are remaining...Nice untouched condition, as mine...The owners of the "Burg Unkel" (between Bonn and Neuwied, near Remagen) did not know till a few weeks from the existence of those helmets in the house attic.

Thank to Glenn, I was able to find a pict of this Rittmeister der Landwehr Kavallerie.
Here he is as a "Päpstlicher Geheim-Kämmerer und Magistral-Ritter des souveränen Malteser-Ritter-Ordens":



07.12.1849* and 15.11.1911 +
His oldest son Siegfried (1878-1944) get married 1909 with Ernestine Montforts, the daughter of Louise Montforts (born Trimborn, Burg Unkel near Bonn). Ernestine died 1957 late after Siegfrieds death in the year 1944, and I assume that the widow went back to her family estate in the Rheinland at the end of WWII or in the 50ies and brought back there many things of the von Hobe family. That would be a logical explanation.

he originally joined Dragoner-Regiment Nr. 19 on 29 November 1875 as an Advantageur. He was promotoed to Portepee-Fähnrich on 12.2.76 and to Sekonde-Lieutenant on 15.5.76. On 13 October 1877 he became a Reserve Officer, transfering to Landwehr status around 1879. He had previously served as a volunteer in Husaren-Regiment Nr. 16 during the Franco-German War.

Thank you again.
OK, this guy originally was 1875-1877 in the Oldenburg DR19.
At around 1879 he moved to the Landwehr Kavallerie, Landwehr-Bezirk Flensburg.
The helmet is definitely from the later Landwehr period at about 1890-1900, showing the classic Landwehr Dragon eagle, which would be also correct for this IX AK Landwehr Bezirk.
