Good pun, indeed !!! Owing to the fact that the new & improved
iron_cross_bunker, formerly dubai61, formerly [email protected]
can't get a response - most of the time, that is.

I purchased my very first helmet from this guy, rather his daughter,
for a cost of 2300 USD !! I should have said to myself "Learn, baby,
learn", 'cause he said "Burn, baby, burn!!". I managed to recoup some of the money, as it was put on consignment with Great War Militaria.
Though described as a Parts Helmet, a museum, of all places, ended up purchasing it for 1050 USD!!

We all make mistakes, but this one was a cluster___!!!!!! RRH

Hi RRH:

$1,250.00 is quite a hit. Having been there, permit me to extend my sincerest sympathies.

Do you have any pictures of the helmet in question? I had never considered doing business with this chameleon (krautkit?), but now I will be certain to steer clear. Caveat Vendor!

Welcome to the forum.

Chas.

Didnt a couple other people get burned by this shape-shifter on the old Forum. I think Amy turned the tables on him/her and kicked their sorry ass.

You are right, Mikey.

Joe Rookery may have some of the pictures I sent him early last year.
This too, had a plume - a white plume to be exact. As I read more & more
about it(using Stubbs as a resource) I began to see, & sure as hell didn't
want to see, that this wench knew nothing about helmets, kugelspitze,
wappens or the like. I corresponded with her quite often (I just love
redheads); she even got me some good stuff from Germany (where she
now lives - Her Grosmutti left her a great deal of money, having come
from a family who made pickelhauben before & during the Great War).

Well, I didn't get the redhead, but I did get scr---d !!!

If you guys ever want high qualty repros, check-out Jorge Dehn, from
Schoenebeck, Germany. He's made some fantastic schirmutzen & an
authentic tschapka. I wear this stuff while in uniform riding my horses-
At age 53 & holding, I'm entitled to a second childhood !!!!

Thanks for persevering !!! RRH
