I can only guess this became a bidding war, because I would never pay this much for an m15 in this condition.

Wow! That is strange.
That's a lot of money for an M15 with double holes, no cockades, missing chinstrap, and possibly a fake Wappen.
The Wappen looks bubbled on both sides, so it may be fake, or maybe it was just badly rusted at one time.
Regardless - waaaay too much!!!
