We remember December 7 as the day Pearl Harbor was attacked, but it was 100 years ago this past December 7 that the British military leaders ordered the Gallipoli pull-out and on the same day a thousand miles away the siege at Kut began!
 
My wife's grandfather was killed at salonika on Dec 7th 1915, he too was withdrawn from Gallipoli to cover the Serbian retreat he was royal Hampshire's attached to the 10th Irish division. The family always believed he was killed at Gallipoli it was my wife's family history research that discovered the truth.
