The Palestine Police were formed immediately after World War I. I had bought a kalpak, which was the typical headdress of Muslim and Christian Arabs of the Palestine Police, at the 2012 SOS.
Now finally I found a Wolseley sun helmet, which was used by British NCOs in the Palestine Police. Commissioned officers seemed to have mostly worn the visor caps. This is a 1941 dated Wolseley, made of pressed felt. The kalpak is likely from the 1920s or 1930s.
