I have a Saxon Train Abteilung EM helmet with parade brush. I think it is made of horsehair. The brush is very coarse and black. It is also very un-manageable and looks like it could use a lot of conditioner after a heavy wash (not that I would think of actually doing that). I'd like it to be manageable and have a neat appearance. Right now it hangs in strings and the hair is sort of in strings and groups. It is all there, just not been taken care of very well (I got it like this). Any suggestion on how to make it more manageable and nice looking, like the ones I see in photos? What can I do to the horsehair to make it look correct? (I am working my way through the instructions on posting photos so I can show you what I mean next time)
