Patriotic Box - 1914 - 1915

Just received this and I really like it. Not that big but really well done. Even has a lock if I can find a tiny tiny skeleton key.

Has a makers stamp on the back but even with a headset magnifier it is almost impossible to make out. I think it has "Essen on the bottom left and something starting with an "S" (probably the maker) in the middle of the oval.

Cheers.

Peter

So do I! I really like these patriotic items, this particular box seems perfect for storing postcards.

Congratulations Peter. :)

You're absolutely right Coert. I just checked and it is exactly post card sized.

Now to start a collection.....

Tony,

This one is mine. Has a makers mark (stamp that might be from Essen) on the bottom. Got it from Charlemagne Militaria but was sent from France.
