Hello,

I would like to present a rare Pelzmütze . Dating back to the Hussars . 20 Sachsen / Bautzen .

However, I have sold a few months ago at Helmut Weitze because I do not like Pelzmützen .

Greeting Dragoner08

those are indeed very special
one has to like it as they are
but that one seems to be very nice
i myself am olso not into those officer busby's
don't ask my why dont even know the answor myself
i rather have them in fieldgrey ,there is somting about fieldgrey

jonas

You don't like pelzmutzen :-k ? And then you have this rare one #-o ? And then you sell it to Helmut Weitze #-o ?

For some people this is the holy grail, others don't like it... I certainly like it :thumb up: ...

Jonas, since you prefer feldgrau, this is the one for you. Husaren Regt. 20 only had feldgrau uniforms since they were just raised in 1913. Here's my busby and summer light weight uniform of Husaren regt. 20...

Adler ;
That is a great display .
Any chance that you post a photo
of one of the shoulder straps on that
Saxon H R 20 Feldgrau uniform ?
I would like to see a photo if you have
the time.
I see that you are in Belgium.
Do you know collector Charles von H. ?

Also have you ever been in touch with
Brian Sanders here in Ind. in the U .S.A. ?
He has every Husaren officer in his collection
Headdress and uniform .
The is a 2 Vol set of books with photos
of his collection.

Thanks
Steve

when can i come and collect it
for this it may be day or night no problem :wink:
that is very very nice i must say
for years now i am looking for a feldgraue Attila for 16de husaren regiment
still no luck on finding that piece
and i believe it will be for another while now

Steve,

Yes, I'm from Belgium and I also know Mr. Charles.

I once met Brian and Paul Sanders at the Max Show (many years ago) and I also have the 2 vol set... And I also have seen part of his collection that he had on display.

Next time I do some photo work I'll take some pictures for you (hope I don't forget #-o )...

PS Jonas, the Atilla is not for sale :-" ...

Adler ;
Thanks for your information .
A few years ago when the Max Show was in Indy
Charles had never seen the Sanders collection .
Brian was going to have an "open house party "
at his home one night after the Max Show closed .
Charles flew to Memphis , Tenn. where were we live
and stayed with us .
He then rode with us to Indy for the Max Show
and we went together to Brian's open house .
Brian invited all of his close collector friends .
Helmut Weitze was there as well .
Brian had all of his collection on display
It was a great event and a good time .

In 2006 my wife and I were able to visit Charles
and his wife at their home .
I spent one entire day taking photos of his collection
It is the best and most complete collection
of Imperial German spiked helmets that I have ever seen .

I look forward to your photos when your time permits .

Steve

damn that's a shame
that is one hell of a beauty

your bunker is that open during the nightly hours
i might come around some times
no worry's would be for drooling on that Attila

jonas

Steve, here you have a picture of the shoulder strap... Good you have seen those wonderful collections, it's really some kind of heaven!

Jonas, please bring napkins otherwhise I have to much cleaning to do after your visit :-"

Very cool Karel and Gunnar......I have the OR version with regimental markings. I bought it in an antique mall in Toronto from a European dealer who had moved here. I presume that is how it ended up in Canada. I have never seen the attila that was worn by this Regt before. Thank you for posting!

Adler ;
Many thanks for the great photo .
That is a great pair of shoulder straps .
I was able to purchase a very nice pair
of Saxon Uhlan Regt 21 officers shoulder straps
at our S O S Military show this Feb.
Thank you for posting the photo .

Yes to see the 2 collections ;
Charles and Brian
is a rare treat.

I emailed Charles today
He is O K as I hope all of our Belgium collector
friends are .

Brian ;
When you post about your Saxon H R 20 ;
I assume that you mean the headdress not the uniform
as I do not know of you collecting uniforms

Steve

Yes Steve.......the headdress. I posted pics long ago before we had this section on the forum. I may post them again here.
