Peter's Crazy Rec Room

So the sword arrived yesterday and I made up a wall hanger. Pretty happy with the hanger, but not as nice as Sandmann's. A few pictures. Asc you can see I don't really have a dedicated room for this stuff so my recroom is kind of multi-purpose.......

Thanks again for the ideas.

Peter

I think that is an amazing rec room. No airborne gunner influence there......

Nicely done. I would absolutely enjoy having a beer in that room for a guided tour on our planned cross Canada trip after Covid-34.

Tony,

Yes it is a combo "party" / "military stuff" room. Drop me a line if you're ever in Kingston, ON.

Not having a dedicated "military" room, mine is kind of a combination games and military display room.

Tony is going to move some pictures I posted over from the displaying swords thread.

Now that's a man cave!!! Very nice! Love the shot dispensers! Your sword display came out good. If you slap a couple coats of glossy polyurethane on, it will look even better. Love the Green Beret stuff! My father did a tour in Vietnam with the 5th SFG. I made this display for him for Christmas last year. He commanded the 5th SFG Gamma Project for 6 months. That's when the photo is from. (Gamma was a program to recruit Cambodians to act as spies to infiltrate Communist forces hiding in sanctuaries in Cambodia). Airborne!! My Airborne career consisted of 5 jumps at the Ft Benning school for wayward boys. That was enough for me!

cptbob - love that display you made for your father.

I had the pleasure and honour to jump with the Green Berets at Fort Bragg on Menton days and earn my US Wings. Menton Days are held annually to commemorate the combined US-Canadian First Special Service Force (AKA The Devil's Brigade) of World War Two fame.

AIRBORNE!
