Pickelhaube for a Prussian line infantry officer

A recent acquisition from Germany.

A well-worn but still beautiful shape, helmet for a line-infantry officer of the Prussian State. The body of the helmet is made of vulkanfiber, hence the very good overall shape.

A lovely helmet I find, with a great patina overall. Clearly, a piece which has not been touch, cleaned, brushed, etc. Guild very slightly darkened in some places, adding to the genuineness of the piece. Not a rare one but exactly as I like them \/

Congratulations, that is an excellent example. I love the V fibre helmets as they are some of the finest examples that have survived.
