"En attendant Godot" est une pièce de théâtre en 2 actes de 1948 écrite par Samuel Beckett.
Deux personnes sur la scène attendent un certain "Godot" qui ne viendra d´ailleurs jamais. Le comble de l´absurde, c´est que personne ne connait ce Godot. Godot est le symbole du changement que chacun attend et de cet espoir souvent décu car jamais rien ne change vraiment...

En fait j’aurai dû demander : Il vient quand ce Godot qu’on en finisse? :D

I never really liked that play; probably because I was forced to watch it back in highschool...

Maybe his collection has already been totally sold...???

By the way, I think that "GODOT" is representing for us, Pickelhauben collectors, the ultimative, untouched attic found in the own house....

"Big" is subjective. I hope you did well and congratulations. More than two is a good score :thumbright:

I was talking with some guy at a show (who did not know who I was) and he was raving that his brother "HAD THE BIGGEST COLLECTION OF PICKELHAUBES IN CANADA!!". "How many?" I asked. His brother had 12 or whatever....

ok... Yes, a collection of 12 helmets could be amazing if they were top quality. However... typically when someone raves about a collection.... [-(

I thought you Texans had to learn 'merican after we won the war!

Tony,
while talking with this guy at this show, you may have made two new experiences:
a wonderful one: you have a brother
a bad one: he is suffering under amnesia...

I was thinking, now that I own 9 (N*I*N*E) PICKELHAUBES, does that make me a BIG Collector (Herrn Kollektor)?? :P

Absolutely. Nine is more than most people could dream of having. Way to go! However, would you describe yourself as the "biggest Pickelhaube collection in Quebéc?" No. And that is my point; people who brag, typically cannot back it up.
