Yes, the "real fittings" on any helmet are the rear spine, M91 posts and the front visor trim. The wappen loops can be changed and the spike replaced but the other 3 are crucial because they (2) have to fit the curves of the helmet visor and shell. The M91 posts (3) are very hard to switch out and to a trained eye obvious. In this case we also have neusilber M91 posts as well as spine and visor trim so this wappen does not belong. Are there extra holes in the shell? This could be a Pioneer helme...any markings on the rear visor? The flat brass chin scales are very valuable and again would suggest pioneer. We need to see a foto of the interior of the helme.
