Pickelhaube with name tag?

Just recently found the picklehaube website, not really a collector of head gear but I do have several pieces for display accents. Mainly a blade collector.
I found this one at a local show, although not the greatest condition it did have a name tag on the inside which is always a plus with collecting.
I can figure out most of the information as to 4th company 26th infantry regiment, what I can’t figure out is what the E/L between the company and regiment information stands for.
Any help with the e/l and if anyone has information of name that would be great. Did some searches for the name but came up with nothing.
Thank you for the web site and any information anyone can provide.

Hi,
4. E / L.I.R 26 would mean 4th company, Ersatz bataillon Landwehr Infanterie Regiment, however the way of writing with a slash is more typical for post WW 1, as is the font used, so I don’t consider the label to be from the First World War ; at the same time B.A. IV seems the correct army corps, and the unit not very special, so I don’t see a reason to fake such a label either. My guess is that someone replaced the label post war, could very well be Weiszhorn himself.
Regards, Lars

Thank you for the information about the name tag label and the E/L meaning. I bought the helmet from a gun dealer who was selling it for his neighbor. I don’t believe either had any idea of the origin of helmet.
Your thoughts on the name tag would make sense as many people like to label family heirlooms to ID them for future generations.
